 What is ADBI? ADBI is the think tank of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It was established in 1997 to help build capacity, skills, and knowledge related to poverty reduction and other areas that support long-term growth and competitiveness in developing Asia and the Pacific. It is located in the central government district of Tokyo, Japan. ADBI is supported by an independent Advisory Council whose members serve for two years. Dean is the chief executive officer of the ADBI and has responsibility under the direction of the ADB President for the management of the Institute.
